We are here to celebrate the gift of trees!
Trees are a natural gift, that are a source of joy, and beauty and they renew our atmosphere with the oxygen that sustains our very lives.
The management of this natural resource will provide us with better air to breathe, provide wildlife with habitat to survive, provide us with paper, and wood for homes, fuel, and other products, while beautifying our community. The management of trees includes:
a. the planting of new trees in Bellville, as well as, in our nation’s forests
b. caring for the trees we have
c. planting the right trees in the right locations
d. harvesting our mature trees for wood products
e. replacing the trees that put our utilities, homes and our lives in danger
With an inclusive management program of this natural resource, we will preserve this wonderful renewable gift, while conservatively using trees and wood products for the betterment of humans for generations.
We will in part Celebrate Arbor Day in Bellville with this gathering, let me proclaim this day April 25, 2015 as Arbor Day in Bellville.
